| Tin and tin/lead "basket plating" has certainly
increased over the last few years. Conversion to basket plating, when possible, offers tin
and tin/lead processes improved efficiency, economy and quality. Increased
surface area and elimination of waste (scrap anodes) offer the most important advantages
to the more common hanging bar plating process.
In addition, basket anode plating offers ease of replenishing anodes. Personell
no longer need to handle the heavy anode bar, risking strain and injury changing
anodes in hard to reach areas. The possibility of anodes breaking away from the hook is
eliminated.
Our most popular basket anode is a ball, 0.875" diameter. If basket
size and space is limited, our mini ball, 0.45" diameter
will be your choice.
Ball anodes offer maximum surface area, ease of handling and pack efficiently.
Our other products used for basket plating are chunk, 1"x1" and
flat-top, 1.625" anodes. Both of these products are cast and free of sharp edges.
They won't hang up in your baskets.
If you require basket anodes or still rely on cast and extruded bar anodes,
give us a call. We offer many styles of anodes both cast and extruded, including
oval, star (16, 12 & 10 point), 1"x3", 2"x4" "D" shape
and 1"x4" to meet your specific process.
Give us a call today. We will work with you to design a better anode to improve
your plating process. |
